What is a Lab


At IPEC, we have created the work to be radically accessible. We believe that we can create access to hands-on learning in a wide variety of ways.

Our labs are offered in person as well as virtual. This is an opportunity to take what you are learning and be given practical application with a professional right by your side.

You may also see Principled Advisory and Application Sessions. In those sessions is the opportunity to get one-on-one or small group direct mentorship and advise on how to apply what you are learning directly to your given circumstances

Good Foundations for Intimacy Coordinators

In this Lecture Series, you go through all what IPEC considers essential learning for the Intimacy Coordinator - Introduction to the job and power constructs of consent, self-care; Critical Thinking with Intersectionality about Gender, Sexuality, Race and Identity; the powerful awareness on how to care for yourself and the collaborators with Bystander Intervention and Non-Violent Communication. If you are looking for a good foundational start with guidance from top professionals on how to apply this work, how to start looking for opportunities in the film world, and truly be ready to dive deep into choreography. We also invite you to bundle this with an Intake Meeting so we, the Staff at IPEC, can get to know you more and give you personalized mentorship on how we can be supportive that you get the most immersed start of your education. As well as 2 PAA sessions to have mentorship on Intersectionality and Non-Violent Communication.
