Race and Identity Virtual Lab _ September 4th

This 3 hour lab is an opportunity for learners to share their origin story and the affect on their positionality. Intersectionality will be used as a framework for how our identities affect a room & how it can be utilized to empower. The central question of the Lab is: What changes when we move from talking about who we are and what we value to examining how those identities and values actually show up in what we do? Expected Learning: This course is for Intimacy Directors, Intimacy Coordinators, Leaders wanting to lead with more consent forward practices in narrative/creative work, department heads, managers, and educators. Explore the relationship between race, identity, and artistic practice Develop shared language for discussing race, identity, power, and difference Connect concepts of radical care and community responsibility to arts practice Examine the difference between performing values and practicing them
